Festive Grants Up to £750 Available for Groups Supporting Older People in Need

Small charities and constituted community groups can apply for grants of up to £750 to deliver festive activities designed to support people aged 65 and over, with a particular focus on creating opportunities for social connection, tackling loneliness, and reducing social isolation. The programme prioritises communities with the highest levels of income deprivation and loneliness among older people in England, Scotland and Wales. Supported activities could include community festive meals, outings befriending activities and the delivery of Christmas care packages. The funding is available through the McCarthy Stone Foundation, Festive Connections Grants Programme 2025 and the application deadline is 5pm on 15 October 2026.

Grants for Urgent Structural Repairs to Churches (UK)

Listed and unlisted Christian places of worship requiring major or urgent structural repairs can apply for grants of up to £50,000. The funding, made available through the National Churches Trust’s Large Grants Programme, will cover up to 50% of larger, more complex projects costing over £80,000, including VAT. Funding is also available for projects costing more than £30,000. VAT is available for improvements to facilities such as kitchens and accessible toilets, etc., to enable increased community use. Priority will be given to architecturally and historically significant buildings. There is a two-stage application process. The deadline for stage one applications is 3 November 2026.

Children and Young People

THE BAILY THOMAS CHARITABLE FUND – Applications for grants under £5,000 may be made at any time. The next application deadline for grants of over £5,000 is Thursday 31 December 2026.

Capital, core, research and revenue grants up to and over £5,000 are available to UK registered and exempt charities for the care and relief of children, young people and adults with learning disabilities in the UK.

Environment and Sustainability

THE ROYAL SOCIETY OF WILDLIFE TRUSTS: GREEN COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAMME – Applications in by Wednesday 21 October 2026.

Grants of up to £25,000 are available to not-for-profit organisations in England, Scotland and Wales with an annual income of between £10,000 and £1 million for projects that respond to the climate emergency, contribute to nature recovery and/or develop and improve access to nature-rich spaces.

THE NFU MUTUAL CHARITABLE TRUST – Applications in by Friday 9 October 2026.

One-off grants of up to £50,000 are available for larger UK charitable organisations and groups for projects that relieve poverty and assist with the education of young people in rural areas.

THE PATHWAYS TO WORK INNOVATION FUND (ROUND 1) – Applications in by 26 October 2026.

Grants are available to a wide range of UK organisations, including charities, social enterprises, local authorities and the private sector, for innovative proposals that support disabled people and people with long-term health conditions to move towards, enter, stay and progress in work.

THE ADDINGTON FUND – Applications can be made at any time.

Short-term financial aid, usually through grants of up to £3,000, is available to farmers and farm businesses in England and Wales when an emergency situation has or will create unforeseen additional expenditure.

THE MARSH CHARITABLE TRUST – Applications can be made at any time.

Small grants of between £500 and £2,000 are available for the core funding of UK registered charities working in the areas of animal welfare, the arts, education and training, the environment, healthcare, heritage and social welfare.

THE DAVID RIDDELL MEMORIAL CIO – Applications in by 31 October 2026.

Small project grants of up to £25,000 and large grants of over £25,000 are available to UK registered charities and Community Interest Companies with an annual income of under £1 million for programmes and activities that reduce deaths by suicide and/or improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 10 to 23.

HELP THE HOMELESS GRANTS – Applications in by Sunday 20 December 2026.

Capital grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects that help homeless people rebuild their lives and move towards a return to mainstream society.

CASH4CLUBS 2027 APPLICATIONS – Applications in by 1 January 2027.

Grants of up to £2,000 GBP / €2,000 Euros are available to not-for-profit organisations, including registered charities, Community Interest Companies and sports clubs in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, for facility improvements, purchasing new equipment, coaching qualifications and investing in the sustainability of sports clubs.
